🎙️ Camera and Microphone Issues
If you can't see your video or use your microphone in the connection test or in a session, it might be because the Talaera site does not have permission from Chrome, Chrome cannot accurately detect the Camera or Microphone you have selected or that you have another video application that is currently using your devices. To fix these problems try the following.
During the connection test, make sure you've selected the correct camera and microphone from the dropdown list. For external devices (connected to your computer via a USB cable), ensure that they are properly plugged in and switched on. If you don't see the device in the dropdown list you can try unplugging and reconnecting it, restarting your Chrome browser, or restarting your computer.
Ensure that no other video or audio applications are trying to access your camera at the same time you are using it for Talaera. Applications such as Skype, iMovie, Quicktime, and Hangouts might be using your video or microphone, preventing it from being accessed by Talaera.
Ensure that Talaera has permission to use these devices. You can change the permissions by clicking the lock icon next to the Talaera URL, and then granting Talaera access to the appropriate devices.
