๐๏ธ Camera and Microphone Issues
If you're having trouble with your camera or microphone during the connection test or in a session, it could be due to permission settings in Chrome, incorrect device selection, or another application using the same devices. Try these steps to fix the issue:
1. Select the Correct Camera and Microphone
During the connection test, ensure you select the right camera and microphone from the dropdown list. If you're using external devices (like USB-connected cameras or microphones), make sure they are properly plugged in and switched on.
Not seeing your device?
Unplug and reconnect the device.
Restart your Chrome browser.
Restart your computer if needed.
2. Close Other Video/Audio Applications
Ensure no other applications (such as Skype, iMovie, QuickTime, or Hangouts) are using your camera or microphone while Talaera is running. These can block Talaera from accessing your devices.
3. Check Device Permissions in Chrome
Make sure Talaera has permission to access your camera and microphone:
Click the lock icon next to the Talaera URL in Chrome.
Ensure that both the camera and microphone are set to "Allow."
If everything is fine from the list above, but you are still experiencing any problems, a possible reason may be a slow internet connection for one of the participants. In this case, we can move your session to Zoom.
