What Happens if You Miss a 1:1 Session

Talaera's cancelation policy and missed sessions.

Updated today

Sometimes schedules change. You can cancel or reschedule a session if needed. However, Talaera has a 24-hour cancellation policy to ensure coaches can plan their schedules and prepare sessions effectively.

The 24-hour rule

Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

If a session is canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours, it will still count toward your total number of sessions. The same applies if you miss the session without attending.

Why this policy exists

Talaera coaches prepare each session in advance and reserve that time specifically for you. The 24-hour policy helps ensure:

  • coaches can organize their schedules

  • preparation time is respected

  • sessions remain available to other learners

What counts as a missed session

A session will be counted as used if:

  • you cancel the session less than 24 hours before it starts

  • you reschedule the session less than 24 hours before it starts

  • you do not attend the session

Where to see missed or canceled sessions

These sessions will appear as forfeited sessions in your learning plan and My Progress page. Your session history shows:

  • completed sessions

  • scheduled sessions

  • forfeited sessions (missed or canceled within 24 hours)

Are there exceptions?

Unfortunately, exceptions cannot be made to the 24-hour policy.
