How to update My Teaching Preferences?
From now on, all the teacher-student matching will be based on these settings. In this section, you will be able to update your settings to specify what types of students you would prefer to teach and your teaching capacity. With all this information, our admin team will carefully look at your profile and the student's needs and match you with the right learners.
Go to Settings ⚙️ (https://app.talaera.com/settings) and scroll down until you see My Teaching Preferences.
Select up to 5 categories for each section. The goal is not to limit yourself but to enhance your teaching experience by fine-tuning it with what you can do best.
Students Level: Select the level(s) you feel most comfortable teaching
Job Roles: If you have more experience with learners from some areas, this is a great way to let us know. This section will be the one with the least weight in the matching process, so don't worry too much about it.
Teaching Specializations: Please select the areas in which you bring the most to the table.
Management Experience: Our main goal here is to know whether you feel comfortable with high-level execs or whether you prefer students in mid-level positions.
Updating Your Teaching Capacity
Remember the capacity sheets we asked you to fill out? With this new update, you can forget about them. Think about how many students you would like to currently teach and we will try our best to keep your schedule as full as you'd like to. Please, provide a realistic number, considering prep time and actual teaching hours.
To accurately indicate how many new students you would like, follow this formula:
Current Number of Active Students + how many new students you want = Max Number of Active Students
For example, if you want 5 new students and currently have 10 students (even if several of those book infrequently), you would enter 15 in the Max Active Student box.
